Consumers Lebanon Participates in the Green Industry Finance Forum
Consumers Lebanon took part in the Green Industry Finance Forum, held on September 16–17, 2025, under the patronage of H.E. Minister of Industry Mr. Joe Issa El Khoury. The event was organized by UNIDO and the EBRD, with funding from the European Union. The association was represented by Ms. Farah Choueib.
The forum aimed to support Lebanon’s transition towards a circular and green economy by bringing together stakeholders from the industrial, financial, governmental, and development sectors.
Key themes of the forum included:
- Showcasing success stories from Lebanese industries adopting circular economy practices
- Presenting innovative green financing tools and regulatory solutions
- Facilitating networking between financial institutions, industrialists, and policymakers
Participation details:
- Day 1: Official opening and panel discussions on financing, policy frameworks, and feasibility studies
- Day 2: Matchmaking sessions linking green projects with funders and investors
By joining this forum, Consumers Lebanon reaffirmed the importance of the consumer’s role in awareness, advocacy, and oversight during Lebanon’s transition towards sustainable and environmentally responsible economic practices.
