We are pleased to share that our workshop,
“Collaborative Assessment of Food Loss and Waste in Lebanon: Challenges and Pathways for Action in the Tomato and Pepper Value Chains,”
was successfully held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Zahle on Wednesday, 19 November 2025.
As part of the #FUSION #Project – From waste to value. From field to future, this event brought together key stakeholders from the agricultural and food sectors to discuss challenges, exchange knowledge, and explore actionable solutions to reduce food loss and waste in Lebanon’s tomato and pepper value chains.
Participants engaged in insightful conversations on current bottlenecks, potential innovations, and collaborative pathways that can drive meaningful change in Lebanon’s food system.
This workshop was jointly organized through the collaboration of #ConsumersLebanon and #ICU, whose combined efforts made this event possible.
A special appreciation goes to Eng. Haidar Sleiman, owner of the #Suncode project, for sharing his valuable insights about dried tomato and pepper production and for presenting his latest innovations.
