Consumers Lebanon is taking part in The Lebanese Center for Policy Studies (LCPS) conference on Leveraging Economic Sectors of Promise in #Lebanon, contributing the consumer perspective to the discussion on strengthening the #agri–hashtag#food #sector.
As part of the first session on policy directions for a resilient agri-food industry, Dr Nada Nehme highlights the essential role of consumer protection, food safety, market transparency, and fair pricing in shaping an #agro–#industry that benefits both producers and the public.
As we engage with #policymakers, #researchers, and #industry #representatives, we are also drawing on insights from the Fusion Project, which promotes #innovative, #consumer–#centered approaches to improving market practices and product quality.
By integrating #evidence–#basedg#tools, collaborative platforms, and community-driven feedback mechanisms developed through the Fusion Project, we aim to enhance accountability across the agri-food value chain and support reforms that build consumer confidence.
